Maya Frank

Maya Frank-Artist biography
Maya Frank is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the subtle architecture of time, memory, and emotional transformation. Unbound by a single medium, she creates using acrylics, oils, glass, sculptural elements, and found materials — anything that lends itself to the language of the piece. Her work is tactile and intuitive, inviting the viewer into layered narratives shaped by lived experience and deep introspection.
Born in the former Soviet Union, Maya was immersed in classical arts from a young age. She performed with the national philharmonic and was surrounded by theater actors, musicians, and visual storytellers. During this time, she also studied medicine, gaining not only anatomical knowledge but a profound understanding of human fragility, resilience, and the psychological terrain of suffering and healing. This rare duality — art and science — continues to influence her approach to creation, bridging precision with emotion.
After immigrating to Israel, Maya’s journey evolved both personally and academically. She earned a degree in Criminology and Sociology, further deepening her understanding of human behavior, trauma, and social transformation. These insights are ever-present in her artistic work, which serves as a layered conversation between the visible and invisible, the structured and spontaneous, the remembered and the imagined.
Eventually settling in the United States, Maya built a life of constant reinvention and creative exploration. Each of her artworks is more than an aesthetic expression — it is a lived story. Rich in symbolism and raw in texture, her pieces often reflect emotional landscapes shaped by migration, identity, loss, and the enduring power of choice.
Maya believes that fate is written both from above and within, but that it is also fluid — shaped by our willingness to confront, shift, and grow. Her work invites viewers to pause, feel, and reconnect with the quiet cycles that form the soul’s map.
